Join us as we aim
to educate the girl child
Women make up more than two-thirds of the world’s approximate of 796 million illiterate people. Every day, girls face barriers to education caused by poverty, cultural norms and practices, poor infrastructure, violence and fragility. Research shows that when we invest in girls education national growth rates rise, child marriage rates decline and child mortality rates fall.
Here is were we come all come in. We believe that with our joint efforts it is high time we step up and be the ones that bring this positive change to the world. We have to ensure we also provide adequate and equal opportunities for the girl child for a better tomorrow. We do this by funding schools and having charter schools of our own to educate women.
In the next 5 years we have a a very ambitious goal of educating over 10 thousand girls and young ladies from pre-school to university and we need your help. We also do not just focus on educating the as we believe in each one, teach one. We have a programme were an alumni of the programme through your support will also help others in the programme when they are able to. We also help these girls to get set up in the workforce. Unfortunately girl child education issue doesn’t end there, it creates a domino effect which is difficult to escape, you see poor girl child education leads to:
- Increased crime rates e.g. domestic violence
- Childhood marriage – girls without education are more likely to get married before they turn 17 years in third world countries
- Low to no socio-economic development
We also believe in transparency as we understand how easy trust is easy to break and to gain. Through your help, the largest share of your donations — 50% — will be used to directly educate girls and female young adults through paying of school fees and monitoring of grades and progress. We will invest your other 20% into our each one teach one programme which involves renting and purchasing land for building schools and also live seminars on other topics that the school curriculum does not offer such as budgeting, sexuality etc. 15% is invested in fundraising and marketing to grow our community so that we can help even more people. 10% will still be used to help run our organisation — from books, speakers, renting office space to paying salaries. The remaining 5% will continue to help cover payment fees. You will also receive a monthly donor letter with a detailed run down of what has been achieved, from activities, finance and people reached and a few testimonies as well.
